The Summary this weel deals with the difficulties attached to obtaining supplies of coal from HONGAI (F.I.C.) and the present parlous condition of the Colony's food supply.

CHINESE OFINION.

Opinion has been expressed this week on the case for -the return of 101E LOG to CHINA, the case for BRITISH born CHINESE in the employ of the ONG LORE COVERGEHT, the "six deficiencies" of 100 LONC, the appearance at BRIVIST functions of persons who were equally prominent at JAPANESE functions, and the protection of the public from drunken servicemen.

TAIKOO DOCERARD

There is reported to be a feeling of dissatisfaction among the employees of TAIKOO DOCKYARD on the subject of wages for December 1941 and pay and allowances for September 1945.

HONG KONG HARBOUR ACTIVITIS

This section of the Summary presents a picture of the steps which had been taken up to November 1st,/restoring the harbour to full working order.

VISIT OF M.S. "BARUDA" TO TOI CTAO,

This visit which lasted from September 20th to October 8th, demonstrates the excellent relations which can be established between the BRITISH, ADRICNS and CHIRMEE when dealing with a matter in the common interest, ely, the repatriation of Allied prisoners of war and internees.
